Post subject: WiTS Forum Rules
Written in the Stars, though not the original, has suffered its highs and lows over the past few years. Having moved from different providers to failures, ultimately, it is the hearts and passions of hard-core shippers that return to this place. The reason being is that this is a safe-haven and a secure place to discuss your feelings and opinions without the threat of being bashed for shippings you like.
Because WiTS has been such a safe place for members, we need to set some primary ground rules.
1. Please do not bash others, talk down, demean, or in any way hurt others with your words and actions on this forum. This refers to personal attacks and their opinions as well. Because we want to avoid conflicts, no homosexual ships/discussions, religious discussions, profanity, or sexual content is to be present. If you do this, you WILL be banned. Please realize we have a range of different aged members, some as young as 10 and others over 20, which leads me into my second rule.
2. Please use common sense. DO NOT do anything ridiculous that goes against common sense. If you think it will have a possibility of hurting someone's feelings, it will, so please do not post it.
3. Do not spam. If you are replying or posting to a topic, please use 10 words or more to respond. Please do not have one word responses, such as "Cool!" or "Thanks!" or short phrases such as "I agree" or I disagree." Rather, if you are posting an opinion, there is nothing wrong with it, but please explain further as to why you think this way.
Ie: I completely agree with you because [name of character] demonstrated her love for him when she [did XXXX]. OR
I completely disagree with you because in the episode where [character's name] [did XXXX], it shows that he doesn't actually [XXXX opinion].
Please make an attempt to further discussions and to draw out more ideas, which is why we ask you to please limit your spamming to only the board specified for spamming.
4. Be respectful of one another's opinions. We have a wide-range of opinions and philosophies, where there isn't a "right" or "wrong." Instead, please be open to accept other shippings, and if they really bother you, avoid going to the board where those discussions will be rampant. If not, we encourage you to visit other boards and to expand your shipping horizons.
5. ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBLE POSTING. No exceptions. If you made a mistake, then you can ask an administrator or moderator to delete your post for you. Double posting is to post a response one right after another. This is not allowed! If you find that no one else has recently posted, but you want to post to the topic, AND you were the last person to respond, feel free to always EDIT your responses to add in your new insight. There's nothing wrong with posting, but just don't double-post.
6. Signatures/Avatars: We have rules set here.
Signatures cannot be bigger than 350 x 150
Avatars cannot be bigger than 120 x 120 and cannot exceed 8192 bytes. No exceptions. Sorry.
7. You may only have one username per person. It gets rather confusing if you have multiple usernames on WiTS and may not be fair if you increase your chances of dominating a discussion. Please understand part of this is for sanity's sake, and part of it's for equality. Thanks!
The rules are pretty simple. We are like family here, so please treat each other nicely and respectfully. We hope you enjoy the forum and find it a safe place to discuss the ships you love!
If you violate these rules, you will be warned. We have a three strikes policy. If you continue to violate the rules after having being reminded, you will be banned from the forum! However, we hope it doesn't have to come to this. Please enjoy! _________________ -Vamp Charisma

Question, I know there used to be a posting limit for things? How much of that still applies? I'm just being a curious cat. _________________

From the looks of things, Vamp didn't place any limits on this board. IMO, for the moment, since we have a real good idea who is here, we should do with out it. If we have to, it can be something that gets put in to place afterwards. _________________

Yes, well said BDK! ^^ You know exactly how I feel. Well, since we only have a small number of people (at the moment I hope), it doesn't really matter whether we have a post limit or not. I thought it wasn't necessary to implement just yet, but maybe somewhere down the line. I know all of you, so I'm reassured that there won't be any abuse. That's really part of the reason why we have post limits (or had them) and the other half is to award the regular members! _________________ -Vamp Charisma

I know, it kinda seemed like a stupid question, but I'm just kinda OCD. I'm one of those detail oriented type people. Every little thing counts, lol. _________________
